General Dental Clinic
Poor oral health is a risk in old people as they might be suffering from chronic conditions and physical and mental disabilities. The most common oral conditions among the elderly are tooth loss, dental caries, dry mouth and periodontitis. Geriatric Dental Care often requires a multi-disciplinary approach.
Surgical, Laser and Dental Implant
We use lasers for performing a variety of dental procedures for both hard and soft tissues without anesthesia. Using lasers in implant dentistry increases hemostasis, improves visibility of surgical site, reduces damage to the surrounding tissue and swelling and minimizes infection due to the photo sterilization effect.

Orthodontics
We specialize in the diagnosis, prevention, management, and correction of mal-positioned teeth and jaws and misaligned bite patterns. This includes fixing abnormal alignment of the teeth and jaws. Treatment may require several months to a few years, and includes using dental braces to adjust tooth position and jaw alignment. Jaw surgery may be recommended in cases where the malocclusion is severe.
Dentofacial Orthopedics
We offer dentofacial orthopedics services or the modification of facial growth and facial development. Children are the ones who often require dentofacial orthopedic therapy. Treatments include correcting the child’s jaw growth and ensuring the jaw bone is properly aligned before using braces to straighten the child’s teeth.
TMJ Clinic
We treat you for TMJ disorders using non-surgical methods like pain relievers, anti-inflammatories, tricylic antidepressants and muscle relaxants as well as surgical procedures like Arthrocentesis, Modified Condylotomy, Open-joint Surgery and injections.
Cosmetic Dental Care and Digital Smile Designing
Cosmetic Dentistry services at Chitra involve mostly teeth whitening through bleaching to remove a thin outer layer of the enamel that causes the yellowish colour. Hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide is used to oxidise the surface of the tooth to lighten its shade. We also offer ceramic veneering, a procedure involving the enamel layer to be interlaced with a rigid material that improves enamel thickness and eliminates the yellowish look of the tooth.
